Project Structural Engineer
Scott J. VanderDoes SE
Scott grew up in several states including Oregon, Florida, Utah, and Alabama. The last being his favorite, where he found his love for good comfort foods such as smoked meats, coleslaw, and hush puppies. After deciding to attend Utah State University, he quickly found an interest in engineering. The campus in Logan made for a wonderful place to longboard around campus in January in shorts and a neon duct tape tie. Just before finishing his bachelor's degree, Scott met his future wife through a mutual friend. Little did he know, she would later go on to become the soda chugging champion of ARW. He completed his master's degree and joined ARW in 2016. The location, atmosphere, and regular company BBQs made it an easy choice. Scott enjoys spending time with his four children and finding new delicious restaurants. In his spare time, he also is an IT consultant for a local municipality. He has worked on a wide range of projects including office buildings, process facilities, retail spaces, warehouses, and religious facilities. Recently, Scott has learned that writing about himself in third-person is difficult and not fun.
