Value Engineering
ARW considers value engineering an important aspect of the design process. Re-analyzing or approaching a system with a new direction allows us to design a more efficient and cost-effective structure. We continually work with owners, contractors, and the design team to improve the function and purpose of the structure and to evaluate the cost of design elements.
Construction Administration Services
The work does not stop once the design documents are completed. Although typical construction administration services may only include shop drawing review, RFI responses, and site visits, we know that there are many challenges that arise during the construction process and we help provide solutions. We pride ourselves on being a responsive and valued member of the team that collaborates until the project is completed.
SPECIALTY ENGINEERING
Specialty engineering and additional services include items such as exterior cladding and curtain wall systems, stairs, catwalks, railings, and canopies to name a few. Other services ARW offers include seismic bracing of non-structural elements, shelving anchorage design, and finite element analysis.
Peer Review Services
ARW offers independent structural peer reviews to provide valuable, unbiased feedback to the design team and ensure that the structural system is compliant with industry standards and regulations. These reviews assess the structural integrity, safety and efficiency of the structural system and offer valuable insights and recommendations to improve the overall quality and performance of the project.
Seismic Analysis of
Existing Structures
ARW has extensive experience evaluating, analyzing, and upgrading existing structures for gravity and seismic forces. Analyses and upgrades have been completed using ASCE 41, FEMA, IBC, and other recognized standards.
Post Earthquake Analysis of Existing Structures
We are well versed with immediate post-earthquake analysis and visual observations and utilize ATC-20 evaluation procedures in actual post-earthquake conditions. Along with assessments, we can also provide detailed analysis and design for repairs and/or upgrades.
BIM // Utilizing Revit
Building information Modeling (BIM) has become an important tool in engineering design and construction and allows for improved collaboration and increased production. We utilize Revit and other engineering software programs to implement BIM technologies, aiding our clients and owners to plan and design in a precise and efficient manner. Our BIM staff has a total of 108 years of combined experience; their knowledge base and continuing education efforts are incomparable.
