Welcome Center

The building included a rock climbing tower, drive-thru bay, and storage for outdoor recreational gear. It was a 2-story, structural steel and masonry building. The LFRS (LATERAL FORCE RESISTANCE SYSTEM) was a combination of SRMSW (SPECIAL REINFORCED MASONRY SHEAR WALL) and BRBF's (BUCKLING RESTRAINED BRACE FRAME). The floor consisted of a concrete slab poured over metal deck and the roof was a flexible, B-deck diaphragm.
