On Holladay

Harmon's Holladay is a grocery store that has been configured to be located on a much smaller site than a normal grocery store. It is located in the downtown area of Holladay and is designed to fit in with the local architecture. Rather than a typical large footprint, single-story grocery store, it is a more compact two-story structure with a partial basement. The structure consists of exterior masonry bearing walls that have been detailed to meet the requirements for special reinforced masonry shear walls, interior floors constructed of concrete slabs on metal deck supported by steel wide flange framing. The exterior masonry walls have been clad with brick veneer to match the architectural look the owners wanted.
